South Lake Tahoe Wedding [Alexa + Charlie] // South Lake Tahoe Wedding Photographer

Alexa and Charlie, these two adventurous partners in life first met in Spain (Because Charlie overheard Alexa speaking English!, and let’s be honest — she’s CUTE!) and did the whole long distance before they moved to same location. They have been living all over the world. Spain, Chicago, Argentina and now in San Francisco.

Alexa and Charlie decide to get married in South Lake Tahoe in California where Charlie’s family have a family cabin. Charlie’s grandparents built the cabin for family gathering and celebration like this.

We had an engagement session with Alexa and Charlie last year in their sweet SF home, their neighborhood, and china beach last year. We knew these two were the sweetest people. But we quickly fell in love with how sweet and welcoming their family and friends were on the day of their wedding. And those dance moves we got to see all night was on fire.

Their Lake Tahoe wedding at family property was better than anything we could have imagined. As a couple who previous got married in a backyard at Torian’s mom’s house in North Carolina, we are huge fan of getting married at the place you have history. It’s so intimate and cozy.

It was May in Lake Tahoe and it was windy. But the wind added so much more texture to the photography. Some of our couples worry about how they look with the wind, but truth is you will look even better with wind blowing graciously to you.

We would photograph this sweet Lake Tahoe wedding over and over again if we can. We feel honored to be part of their big day documenting and photographing little and big sweet moments.

This sweet event was helped by Casey from Sasser Events.

Shelldance Orchid Gardens Wedding [Rachel + Aaron] // Pacifica Wedding Photographers

College friends who were not so close turned into life partners. This is story of Rachel + Aaron. Their personality is opposite aka they balance each other out (Just like Torain and I). Their wedding and celebration of their love at Shelldance Orchid Gardens in Pacifica, California was the sweetest. celebration They decided to have small numbers of guests and it was intimate, just like how they wanted.

After being together for 6 years, they got engaged in Half Moon Bay which another favorite location for us to photograph.

Shelldance Orchid Gardens were every photographers’ dream. Between the perfect lighting in their green house, the ocean view outside of the Shelldance Orchid Gardens and perfect foggy weather in Pacifica, I am not sure which was my favorite. Oh I almost forgot, lots of air plants in the gardens. And it is also home to a few cats. We witnessed couple cats roaming around during their ceremony and reception.

When Rachel and Aaron first reached out to us, they said they are camera shy (But isn’t everybody, including us? — Unless your job requires you to be exposed by camera every week) and feels weird about posing. They were especially attracted our work because of genuine moments we photographed on wedding days as well as less posing. So it was important for us to make them feel comfortable in front of our camera, even with our documentary wedding photography approach.

On the day of their wedding, these two sweet souls couldn’t be more comfortable and be more themselves. They couldn’t stop getting emotional from being so happy knowing that they will be doing life together for the rest of their life. When these two teared up, our eyes started getting watery as well.

These two got ready at Seal Cove Inn in Moss Beach where they had dreamy trees on their “backyard”. We photographed their first look here before we had out to Pacifica for the wedding.

We are so happy we got to be part of the very beginning of new journey and Rachel and Aaron chose us to document their sweet sweet celebration.
