saguaro buttes, tucson az wedding [an + brent] // tucson, az wedding photographers
arizona has won a special place in our hearts. not because of it’s beautiful landscape, or amazing art culture. But because of the amazing people we have met there over the past few months. when An first contacted us, we had no idea what we were going to be getting ourselves into. vietnamese traditional, mixed with american, with a little arizona flare.
upon arriving to the venue, Saguaro Buttes, Jiyeon gasped for air because of how beautiful the desert landscape was, haloed against the golden sunset.
waking up on the day of An and Brent’s special day was reminiscent of a christmas morning as a child. we had never photographed a desert wedding up to this point (Vegas doesn’t count), so the excitement almost kept us from falling asleep. Jiyeon had never been this deep into the sandy ocean, surrounded by cacti and tumbleweeds. even on the drive over to the venue, she couldn’t unbury her face from the glass of our car, squeezing my hand every time something new came into her view that she hadn’t seen before.
on the day of the wedding, An showed her true inner peace. like every wedding we photographed, some things didn’t go as planned. An stayed calm the entire time, rolling through each moment. Brent, the true knight he is, was there for her every step of the way. he had pre-scouted some areas to give us a heads up when we got there, and he was our voice when we needed to get the family together for a final photo shoot.
the part of the night that really made everything come full circle was the dancing. with a few B-boys, some ballerinas, and a bride and groom that danced like there was no one else in the room with them, ending the night with a bang!
