being a kid is seriously the best thing ever! I mean really, think about it. better yet, think about that time you went to camp. you didn’t go to camp? shoot…. ok, think about that time you watched a T.V. show where someone went to camp. (haha, ok, netflixed) in your mind you should be picturing nature, as it surrounds you, laughter filling the air, and possibly even the smell of apple pie driving you crazy as you wait for the camp directors to call for dinner. ok, so we didn’t have apple pie at julie and andrew’s wedding, but the food was on point for sure!
being able to fly down (or, well, over to) georgia was truly amazing. it was where it all started for us, working as a husband and wife team. this was also an amazing origin for julie and andrew. they met at camp mikell while working there over the summer. this isn’t verified, but I’m sure they were both professional athletes at some point and decided to take a vacation working here the summer when they met.
nonetheless, the day was truly amazing. we blended in amongst family and friends throughout the day and as night fell we weren’t sure if we were at a wedding or a dance off competition. seriously… how can the entire party of people know how to dance? there were moments, too. very special moments. like having a beautiful message from being delivered during their ceremony from someone they met while volunteering in south america together. or the moment before anyone got dressed (groomsmen) when andrew gave his mother a beautiful carved figure of a mother and son. that first look of julie as andrew spotted her in her dress for the first time. or the short hike we took in the woods to a beautiful pond they liked (and I fell on my butt, hoping they didn’t see it) just to get a photo of them near the water amongst all the green. the love is pure with these two. and they’re truly adventurous souls.
also these vendors were amazing to work with
